MEAL MENU

For reservations, call Edie at 401-596-7216. Recommended donation is $3. Please make reservations on Thursdays for the next week. Menu is subject to change by the caterer.

Monday – Today’s meal is cream of broccoli soup, chicken parmesan with wheat pasta, green beans, and dessert. Secondary option is meatball sub on wheat roll.

Tuesday – Today’s meal is fresh fruit, Irish stew, tossed salad, whole wheat biscuit, and dessert. Secondary option is beet salad with chicken.

Wednesday – Today’s meal is strawberry mango salad, beef tacos, Spanish rice, chopped salad, and dessert. Secondary option is Italian grinder on wheat roll.

Thursday – Today’s meal is cream of mushroom soup, oven fried chicken, coleslaw, spinach, and dessert. Secondary option is tuna club on wheat.

Friday – Today’s meal is navy bean soup, fish sandwich on wheat roll, potato wedges, broccoli, and dessert. Secondary option is Greek salad with chicken.

TRIPS

Flyers for all trips are available in the tan box at the end of the counter at the front office and are displayed on the bulletin board outside the front office.

Parker’s Maple Barn– Tuesday, March 20. Cost: $70. Deposit: $5. Balance due: March 1. Departs at 7:30 a.m. Celebrate spring with a trip to Mason, N.H., to tour the sugar house, visit the gift shop, have lunch. Then it’s off to Smith’s Country Cheese for a tour and cheese tasting. Coffee stops will be made on the way to New Hampshire and on the way home (South Kingstown Parks & Rec).

“No Tell Motel” at the Newport Playhouse featuring the Lobsterfest menu – Sunday, July 22. Cost: $99 due at time of reservation. Departs: 10 a.m., returns 5:30 p.m. The buffet features lobster, shrimp cocktail, clam chowder, and a variety of salads. The play is a romantic comedy, followed by a cabaret show (Friendship Tours).

Atlantic City – May 29 to 31. Cost: $254 p.p. double or triple, $338 single, insurance available. Two nights at Resorts Casino Hotel, transportation, and casino bonus of $30 slots, $10 food credit, show, and two $20 meal credits (Friendship Tours).

NEEDED

Wheelchairs with foot rests, transport wheelchairs, shower benches, shower chairs, transfer benches, three- or four-prong canes, walkers with wheels, and “strollers” in good, used condition to lend to area seniors.

Bingo after lunch.

Thursday — Line dancing 9:30-11:30 a.m.; Walmart shopping 11 a.m.- call the PNC for free van transportation to the store.

AARP Tax Preparation – Beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday only. No reservations — first come, first served.  Please bring your tax information with you.
