MEAL MENU

For reservations, call Edie at 401-596-7216. Recommended donation is $3. Please make reservations on Thursdays for the next week. Menu is subject to change by the caterer.

Monday – Center closed.

Tuesday – Today’s meal is tomato soup, open chicken pie, mashed potatoes, wheat biscuit, and dessert. Secondary option is turkey and Swiss on wheat roll.

Wednesday – Today’s meal is Italian wedding soup, Bolognese with wheat pasta, tossed salad, garlic bread, and dessert. Secondary option is roast beef sandwich.

Thursday – Today’s meal is minestrone soup, bacon cheeseburger on wheat roll, French fries, broccoli, and dessert. Secondary option is chicken Caesar salad.

Friday – Today’s meal is vegetable soup, lemon parmesan cod, brown rice Florentine, baby carrots, and dessert. Secondary option is chef salad.

Fliers for all trips are available in the tan box at the end of the counter at the front office and are displayed on the bulletin board outside the front office.

■“Exit Laughing” at the Newport Playhouse (Monday, April 9, 2018). Cost: $87 due at time of booking. Join us traveling to this dinner theater for a buffet followed by the comedy “Exit Laughing” from your reserved seats in the theater. NEEDED

Wheelchairs with foot rests, transport wheelchairs, shower benches, shower chairs, transfer benches, three- or four-prong canes, walkers with wheels, and “strollers” in good, used condition to lend to area seniors.

Wednesday— Books and More! The Stonington Free Library is coming to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center. Patrons may use their Stonington or Connecticut library card or apply for one. Borrow, renew, and browse, or do research. Bring a list of books you would like to borrow and they will bring the books. Learn to search the digital library catalog, how to use a Kindle or other e-reader, and how to borrow e-books through the library. Zumba Lite 9-10 a.m.; grocery shopping at McQuade’s in Westerly 9 a.m; lunch at 11:30 a.m. Bingo after lunch; Tai Chi 1 to 2 p.m.

Thursday — Line dancing 9:30-11:30 a.m.; Walmart shopping 11 a.m.; gentle yoga 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.; dominoes, puzzles or board games from noon-2:30 p.m.

Friday — Strength and balance exercise class 9-10 a.m.; writing class 10:15-11:45 a.m. Shopping at Stop & Shop in Pawcatuck at 11 a.m.

CHARLESTOWN

MEALS

Lunch is served Monday through Friday at noon in the Parkside Dining Room at the Charlestown Senior/Community Center. Please make lunch reservations by noon, two days in advance, by calling Diane at 401-364-6998.

Painting group:  Painting with Peers meets on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. This is a casual painting group; work on your own project with peer suggestions and advice.

Mahjong Mondays! Join us for Mahjong every Monday at 1 p.m. All levels welcome, No formal instruction at this time.

Volunteers needed:  We are looking for drivers to deliver meals for the Charlestown Meals on Wheels Program – please call 364-9955.
