Westerly Armory to give free tours on Monday

WESTERLY—The Westerly Armory will be open on Monday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tours of the museum are free of charge.The museum features community memorabilia and stands as a tribute to local veterans with a display of local militaria. Visitors of all ages are welcome.

 The Westerly Band has a display of instruments over 100 years old. Local places such as Burdick’s, McCormick’s, and the Lion Gate Inn are remembered in the museum, as well as exhibits on Capt. Charles Utter (once editor of The Westerly Sun), Robert Watz, U.S. Army Airborne, and Richard Comolli, U.S. Navy Seabee.
