Watch as three floral designers go head to head in the Floral Design Challenge Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Westerly Yacht Club. The designers will each be given the same container and plant material and will go to town to create the best design in town to raise money to update the signage and plantings at the children’s garden in Rotary Park. Lace up your sneakers and and run in the annual Bottone Mile, which, after 24 years on the WHS track, is moving to a measured road mile in Misquamicut. The running race is free, and an awards ceremony will take place following the race for all the summer fun run participants. Registration is required but free.
