Do you remember the Enchanted Forest in Hope Valley? Here’s what it looks like now.

The Enchanted Forest, a popular fairy tale-themed amusement park that opened in 1971 in Hope Valley and closed in 2005 due to poor attendance, now lies abandoned and overtaken by brush. The park was mainly oriented to younger children and families, with recreations of the Old Woman's Shoe, the House that Jack Built, and Humpty Dumpty, along with an assortment of rides targeted for young children — a child-sized roller coaster, bumper cars, and a merry go round, as well as a live petting zoo.  Photos by Harold Hanka, The Westerly Sun
