All eyes are on a coastal storm that could impact weather over the weekend, but forecasts as of Wednesday afternoon indicate the region could be spared from a winter mix.
According to the National Weather Service, there’s a 40 percent chance of showers, mainly after 3 p.m., with otherwise cloudy skies and a high near 52.
Overnight showers will be likely, mainly after 8 p.m., with a low of 40 and northeast wind of 11 to 17 mph. Gusts could reach as high as 32 mph. New precipitation amounts of between three quarters and one inch is possible.
More rain is likely on Friday, mainly before 10 a.m., with a high near 45. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
