The start of December often marks the arrival of ice, snow and bitter cold temperatures, but local residents will get a more mild start this time around.
According to the National Weather Service, the greater Westerly area should expect a cloudy morning with gradual clearing as the day goes on and a high near 51. A northwest wind of 5 to 9 mph could gust as high as 25 mph at times.
Friday night will bring clear skies with a low around 28 and a north wind of 3 to 8 mph. Saturday is expected to then be mostly sunny with a high near 46.
