When did you begin working for the town?

Feb. 12, 2007.  Prior to coming to Richmond I worked for the Town of Narragansett for 20 years and the City of Newport for seven years.

What have you enjoyed about serving as finance director?

The enjoyable part of being Richmond’s finance director is the involvement in all aspects of the town government and working with some really great people.

Can you talk about some of the challenges of your job?

The finance director in a small community is a jack of all trades. You are involved in purchasing, payroll, human resources, budgeting, investing, borrowing, financial reporting, and long-term planning. And expected to do it all with a limited budget and staff.

What are you looking forward to when you retire?

Spending more time with family, especially with my granddaughters in California, lots more yard work, and doing more volunteering.
