North Stonington hears public input on use of town properties

NORTH STONINGTON — Selectmen have received feedback from the public regarding possible uses for property owned and leased by the town.

The selectmen heard from the public during a workshop on Aug. 14, First Selectman Mike Urgo said. Officials will use the information to begin to explore options for the properties. Any changes would be discussed with the selectmen at the board’s meetings, he said.

If the community were to move forward with the sale of town property, any proposed sale would need to to be approved by selectmen and the Planning and Zoning Commission, as well as by residents at a town meeting.
