The Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly will host the third annual Art Heist fundraiser. The evening will include the art heist, appetizers, open wine bar, beer from Grey Sail Brewery, Watch Hill Oysters and live music. Wilcox Park Champion Tree Tour

Friends of the Hopkinton Land Trust will host Music in the Valley featuring performances by The Marching Milkmen and the SuperChief Trio. The event is free. Attendees are invited to bring chairs, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. The Hope Valley-Wyoming Fire Department will have food available for purchase. The Hope Valley/Wyoming Fire Dept Auxiliary will have hot dogs and hamburgers for purchase.

Arts on the Quad

Monday, Aug. 13A Stroll Down Cypress and Cedar Lanes

The Babcock Smith House Museum will host a a walking tour of various monuments in Riverbend Cemetery. The tour will meet near the cemetery office. Attendees may park there or on one of the upper streets, but not on Cypress or Cedar Lanes. The rain date is August 20. Cost is $5 for non-members.

New Frontiers in Ocean Exploration

The Watch Hill Conservancy and the Lanphear Livery will host a presentation by Catalina Martinez of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Office of Ocean Exploration and Research about the administration’s research ship, The Okeanos Explorer.
