WATERFORD — Amanda Ljubicic has been named vice president of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut and will begin work on Feb. 26. She had been vice president of strategy and implementation at Mitchell College, where she developed the college’s Integrative Career Development program and served as director of career services.
Chamber President and CEO Tony Sheridan said the selection committee had “found an accomplished individual who is well-prepared to help manage the chamber’s finances, engage our members, and secure regional partnerships.”
She is succeeding Sheri Cote, a 13-year veteran of the chamber who became vice president in 2011. In January, Cote became president of the Branford-based Shoreline Chamber of Commerce. Ljubicic holds a B.A. degree in communication from the University of Connecticut and an M.S. in community counseling from Southern Connecticut State University. She began her career with MBI Inc., and then with the Affinion Group in Norwalk.
