WESTERLY — Lori Joyal, managing director of the Watch Hill office of Lila Delman Real Estate International, holds the No. 204 rank in the 2018 Real Trends listing of American real estate professionals, based on transaction volume in 2017. Joyal, as reported earlier this year, was credited with $83.5 million in sales and has been No. 1 in Rhode Island for the past two years.
Real Trends, of Castle Rock, Colo., a privately held publishing, consulting and communications company, and has been issuing the rankings since 1987; the current list of “America’s Best Real Estate Professionals” was sponsored by Adwerx, a digital advertising firm based in Durham, N.C.
Real Trends said its production numbers are verified by a third-party in order to ensure accuracy. Its president, Steve Murray, said that the listing represents less than 1 percent of all real estate practitioners in the United States.
To be included in the ranking, agents must have closed at least 50 transactions or $20 million in closed sales volume in 2017. Many of the highest ranked agents work in affluent or large metropolitican areas. No. 1 on the list in 2018 was Ben Caballero, of Addison, Texas, with $1.9 billion in sales in the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington area last year.
